F 6.1 , Calibration fault, User calibration failed to find threshold HD energy within normal voltage or laser system failed to find Max HD energy within 60 pulses. It may be caused by Laser system mobility shocks may have shifted the laser head out of alignment. Aging laser head, flash lamps or laser head components, Calibrate again, try both laser heads. Turn off laser for 30 seconds, restart, calibrate again, If problem persists, contact a Candela Service ,Replace flashlamps, laser head, or failed optics.
F 6.5 , Cal port Switch fault, DCD or ACC Cal port redundant switches indicate different states for longer than 1 second, Reinsert handpiece in Cal port. Inspect switches for bent or damaged switch arm(s). Verify if switch assembly moved, no longer actuates with handpiece installed. Replace 4-pin and/or 5-pin micro switches.
F 7.1 , DI Fluid Low Temperature Fault, DI water is under temperature, Put the laser in standby state and allow sufficient time for laser to warm-up. Verify the water level, fill reservoir if needed, turn off laser for 30 seconds, restart the laser. clean or replace air filters, replace DI filter.
F7.2, DI fuild high Temperature fault, DI water is over temperature, Turn off laser, allow time for system to cool down, check the DI water level, fill reserviot if needed. Turn off laser, allow time for system to cool down. Check the DI water level, fill reservoir if needed. Verify room temperature meets specifications of 65 β 85 F (18 C β 29 C). Verify the laser is more than 12 inches (60cm) from any wall. Turn off laser for 30 seconds and then restart. Clean or replace air filters.
F 7.3, Fluid Flow Fault, DI water pump pressure fault. Low or no DI water pressure and/or flow. DI water system flow switch does not change when the power is turned on. DI water pump is not βOnβ or DI flow switch is not actuated. DI water level is low and/or there are air bubbles flowing through the fluid system, Turn off the laser system. Check the DI water level, refill reservoir if needed. Check for DI water leaks.Restart and turn off the laser 2 to 3 times to allow fluid system to pump water and flush out air bubbles. Replace bad flow switch.
F7.4 , DI Fluid Temperature Sensor Fault, Temperature sensor circuit open or shorted, Turn off the laser system. Check DI water level and refill reservoir if needed. Check for DI water leaks. Restart and turn off the laser 2 to 3 times to allow fluid to pump water and flush out air bubbles. Replace temperature sensor.
F 7.5 , DI fluid Level low fault, DI water Level is low, Fill the reservoir with clean DI water, if needed replaced level switch.
F 8.2, DCD canister high pressure fault, Faulty pressure sensor overheated DCD canister, Checked DCD canister level, if the Canister is empty, replace it, replace level switch.
F 8.3, Handpiece DCD Valve Fault, DCD Valve fails, Replace the delivery system, if problem persists, call us.
F 8.4, DCD Canister Temperature Sensor fault, DCD temperature sensor fails, Turn off the laser system, allow it to cool down, and then restart the laser. If problem persists, contact Candela Service. Replace temp sensor.
F9.1, Fluid warm up fault, DI temperature is not normal range after 60 minutes.
F12.1, Low energy fault, Alex or Yag head energy of last treatment pulse is less than 14 percent low.
F12.2, High Energy fault, Alex or Yag head Energy of last treatment pulse is more than 14 percent high.

The GentleMax Pro and Pro Plus system are a solid laser capable of delivering energy at wavelength of 755 nm or 1064nm. The laser system contains two separate laser heads, an Alexandrite and a Nd:YAG (Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) Which, when pulsed, produce laser energy emitted at nominal wavelength of 755 nm and 1064 nm, respectively.
The outputs of the two laser heads are optically combined on the laser rail so that their beam paths are identical as they exit the laser system. this allows the use of a single delivery system which can output either the 755nm or 21064nm wavelengths.
When a system malfunction occurs, the laser system enters a fault condition. The laser system beeps and display a fault message. It continues to beep every 10 seconds until the fault is cleared.
Sometimes clearing the fault and retrying the pervious operation correct the fault condition.
